What do I get out of it?
Becoming a member of the group is an excellent way to increase your surf life saving skills. Members are called upon to perform tasks under a great deal of situations. You will learn leadership skills as well as management skills. You will be a member of a team that is dedicated to the protection of the public. The group is held in high regard in the emergency services area as such allot of our members have won positions in the emergency services because of the knowledge and skill they have gained from their time with the boat.

Patrols are conducted during the summer season from the School holidays in October to the School Holidays in April. Patrols usually involve pre launch checks followed by a run around the beaches after this we usually go swimming (one of the good things about the boat is we can pick between all the beaches in the Sydney area). We then return to our shed for lunch. After this training will be conducted for all the crew followed by what ever we fell like until about 4:30 when we fuel up and wash the boat.
Training
Training is mainly conducted on patrols. You will be advised of times for specialized units.
Subs
We ask that all people that agree to become members of the group always show up for patrols. If you are unable to attend you must attempt to find a sub. If you are unable to find a sub you must contact your patrol skipper. We understand that it is not possible to attend every patrol so if you are unable please follow the rules.
Uniform
All patrolling members must wear the full Surf Life Saving uniform.
